MALABALAY CITY, Bukidnon, August 10 (PIA)—The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is now fast tracking the giving out of Pantawid Pasada cards to pre-identified beneficiaries in Bukidnon.
LTO Chief Romeo A. Miguel said they are now taking a proactive effort in reaching out to the identified beneficiaries to avail of the card as soon as possible.
“I am calling the attention of jeepney drivers and operators identified as Pantawid Pasada program beneficiaries who have not yet claimed their cards to get it at our LTO Malaybalay Office. It has been a week now since the cards were sent by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) but still they failed to claim it in spite of the reminders aired over radio stations,” he said.
Miguel said, there are 29 beneficiaries in the list of Batch No. 14 and only five (5) of them claimed their cards.
He, likewise, reiterates that card claimants should bring the following documents: Original copy and photocopy of the Confirmation Certificate from LTFRB, Official Receipt, Certificate of Registration, One (1) valid ID for the owner claimant, or if the claimant is a ‘representative’, he has to present 1 valid ID of the owner/franchise holder plus his valid ID.
Those who will claim the cards are still requested to present the original copies of the documents for verification purposes.
The Pantawid Pasada card entitles the beneficiary to a one-time release of the P1,050 worth of fuel which is available in participating gasoline stations declared as redemption station by the Department of Energy (DOE).
This is one of the programs of President Aquino aimed at helping operators and drivers cushion the impact of the increase in price of oil in the world market.
The DOE also emphasized in previous media statements that the Pantawid Pasada Cards are given out to legitimate franchise holders at no cost. Suspicious individuals or groups may be reported to the concerned agencies.
The program is implemented by the DOE, and the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) in coordination with the LTO and LTFRB. (PIA 10, Bukidnon)
